Central heirs: Royals seize division title

Lorenzo Cain’s two-out, two-run single in the sixth inning broke a tie and the Royals didn’t look back, pulling away from the Mariners down the stretch to clinch their first AL Central title and their first division title since winning the AL West in 1985. Johnny Cueto did his part for KC, holding Seattle to three runs over seven innings for the win.
